CaF2:Eu – Europium Doped Calcium Fluoride

In addition to its use as an UV-Vis-IR optical material, Calcium Fluoride’s properties make it ideal for scintillation when doped with Europium.

CaF2:Eu is an attractive scintillation material due to its inert, non-hygroscopic and shock resistant nature. Popular applications are gamma-ray detection, health physics systems and applications where mechanical shock to the scintillation material may be an issue.
